Melvin, a successful British author, moved to America to escape his family after an incident on Boxing Day a couple of years ago. To promote his new book, he returns home to London for the holidays bringing his new American fiancé (Lisa). It's the perfect time to introduce Lisa to his eccentric British-Caribbean family but they find themselves tangled in family drama that revolves around his ex-girlfriend (Georgia), who is now an international pop star.
