In July, I began a new role at Microsoft, which has meant that I have spent most of the summer feeling like the new girl at school. It can be an unsettling feeling, after a long time knowing exactly what to do in almost every situation, to suddenly feeling that you know very little.
Knowing the importance of having gender balance across all roles, I want to encourage more women to become data scientists to create balance for better, not just on International Women’s Day, but everyday.
