Get started with Microsoft Entra External ID for free and scale as your business grows—you only pay for what you use. The Microsoft Entra External ID Basic tier includes the first 50,000 Monthly Active Users (MAU) at no cost. 2,4
If you need SMS phone authentication, this add-on is billed using four separate meters based on the country where each transaction originates. One transaction equals one SMS phone verification attempt. You can view the full list of countries and rates here.

Microsoft Entra ID Governance for External Identities is only available for business guest scenarios, as defined in our Product Terms.3
