Security innovations for the SMB segment

Several product innovations were announced during Inspire to help partners and customers in three key areas of the SMB Security segment:

1. New product innovations to help customers stay secure

Three product updates to help SMBs stay secure with Microsoft Defender for Business and Microsoft 365 Business Premium:

• General availability of mobile threat defense in Microsoft Defender for Business standalone, to enable customers to protect mobile devices. 
• General availability of monthly security summary reports in Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Microsoft Defender for Business shows threats prevented, current status from Microsoft Secure Score and recommendations.
• Automatic Attack Disruption capabilities help to swiftly respond to attacks, limit their impact, and regain control over your systems, so you can effectively manage and resolve security incidents. 

2. Making it easier for Partners to deliver Business Premium services  

Preview: streaming APIs in Defender for Business and Business Premium for partners who want to build their own SOC or managed detection and response (MDR) service.

3. Partner resources to help build M365 services and drive customer conversations

To help partners get started with security managed services, we just launched a new Security Managed services kit and 3-part digital training series to provide step-by-step guidance for partners on how to build services based on the CIS critical cybersecurity controls.
