Building on Microsoft\u2019s commitment to a more sustainable future, partners Ludenso and Wakelet are getting ready for the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) with exciting opportunities for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"visualizing-the-future-with-ludenso\">Visualizing the future with Ludenso<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following their successful <a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/ludenso.com\/challenges\/ocean\/challenge-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"Follow this link to learn more about Ludenso's Ocean Challenge.\"><strong>Ocean Challenge<\/strong><\/a>, which enabled more than 1,000 children to learn about the ocean and about how Microsoft uses technology to solve climate challenges, Ludenso is now inviting teachers and students to join the <a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ludenso.com\/challenges\/sustainability-challenge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"Follow this link to learn more about Ludenso Sustainability Challenge.\"><strong>Ludenso Sustainability Challenge<\/strong><\/a> throughout October. Based on two UN Sustainable Development Goals, including <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/goals\/goal7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"Follow this link to learn more about the UN Sustainable Development Goals.\"><strong>goal &nbsp;7<\/strong><\/a>\u2014\u201censure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all\u201d\u2014and <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/goals\/goal11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"Follow this link to learn more about the UN Sustainable Development Goals.\"><strong>goal 11<\/strong><\/a>\u2014\u201cmake cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable\u201d\u2014 the Sustainability Challenge is free to participate in, including use of the technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the challenge, students reflect on what kind of cities they want in the future in order to live sustainably. Will cities have cinemas, shops, nursing homes, and schools as they do today, or will they look completely different?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/education\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Ludenso_Sustainability_Challenge.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:736px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Using <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ludenso.com\/create\/teacher\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"Follow this link to learn more about Ludenso Create.\"><strong>Ludenso Create<\/strong><\/a>, students will then create 3D models of their own buildings that will be part of the class&#8217;s future city, and will explore using augmented reality (AR) technology in the schoolyard.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Powered by Microsoft Azure and compatible with Microsoft Office 365, Ludenso supports forward-looking teachers with secure, fast, and simple technology, and allows students to get creative across subjects with 3D and AR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Every child&#8217;s ideas and passion for sustainability are important,&#8221; says Ludenso CMO Ingrid Skrede. &#8220;We, as technology developers, must make it easier for students to work more creatively and consume less digital content.&#8221; But, she says, &#8220;to make this happen, we need dedicated teachers who dare to try new solutions for meaningful technology projects.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"elevating-student-voices-with-wakelet-and-microsoft-teams\">Elevating student voices with Wakelet and Microsoft Teams<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To involve younger students in the issues that impact their future, <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/wakelet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"Follow this link to learn more about Wakelet.\"><strong>Wakelet<\/strong><\/a> is hosting British children ages 7 to 13 in a House of Commons-style parliamentary debate. Students from 650 constituencies in the United Kingdom will discuss key issues like climate change, poverty, and education in this Teams-enabled <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/wakelet.com\/wake\/Gn7bhzZccV6m_24R-w4Qk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"Follow this link to learn about the Microsoft Teams enabled the Children's Parliament.\"><strong>Children\u2019s Parliament<\/strong><\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/education\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Wakelet_MicrosoftTeams.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:736px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Wakelet CEO and founder Jamil Khalil, \u201cWakelet is proud to support such an incredible initiative to curate the views of young people nationwide.
