By giving everyone access to the same productivity software and tool sets, the state created equity among agencies and across the workforce, and helped people work together more efficiently. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A variety of disconnected technology systems in the <a href=\"https:\/\/customers.microsoft.com\/en-us\/story\/1688094167268754882-peelregion-government-microsoft-en-canada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Peel Region<\/a> in Ontario, Canada, were unified by adopting a suite of Microsoft solutions. The agency wanted to build a unified environment that would provide anytime, anywhere, any-device access to information and services for all employees. The transformation improved experiences not just for residents but also the region\u2019s 6,700 employees, many of whom were already using Microsoft 365 personally as well as professionally. The adoption fostered better remote collaboration while also enhancing security.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/customers.microsoft.com\/en-us\/story\/1693038858179682311-environment-government-microsoft-365-en-sri-lanka\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maldives<\/a>, a nation of more than 1,000 islands, the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Technology unified all government entities into a single digital platform for its 20,000 public servants. With access to Microsoft 365 and related Microsoft tools, employees are now able to collaborate more effectively and build greater trust with the public\u2014an important consideration for such a widely-dispersed workforce. By enabling better remote work, Microsoft 365 reduced transportation costs and fuel consumption, and is helping the nation meet its carbon reduction and sustainability goals.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After many employees shifted to working from home during &nbsp;COVID-19, <a href=\"https:\/\/customers.microsoft.com\/en-us\/story\/1700725550773983869-sogei-microsoft-365-government-italy-en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sogei<\/a>, the IT company fully owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, looked to ease their work experience by adopting Microsoft 365 tools. So, it revamped its working culture from the ground up with a Microsoft 365 adoption program and Center of Excellence. The program brought increased work satisfaction, well-being, and productivity, with the typical user saving an average of 4.5 working hours per week, thanks to a 194% increase in collaboration with Microsoft Teams and a 60% reduction in email volume. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/customers.microsoft.com\/en-us\/story\/1625929195688282770-municipality-alkmaar-government-azure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Municipality of Alkmaar<\/a>, one of the largest municipalities in the Netherlands, improved its ability to connect with and serve its 115,000 citizens when it completed an expansive migration to Microsoft Azure to drive business continuity and overall agility. By leveraging their existing use of Microsoft products and services, including Microsoft 365, they were able to modernize their IT infrastructure and migrate to the cloud while only enhancing the worker experience.
