Office Online—chat with your co-editors in real-time

We recently announced the ability for co-editors to chat with one another directly in a OneDrive document when working in Office Online. Today, we’re pleased to extend this capability to Office 365 Business and Education customers for documents stored in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint Online. Built on the same technology as Skype for Business, the new chat feature is available in all Office Online applications—Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote.

It was just about a year ago we announced Student Advantage, a benefit that allows eligible students to get Office 365 from their school for free. One drawback to Student Advantage—the onus has been on the school to initiate the service, create an account and order the Office 365 license on behalf of the student. Today we’re making it easier on the school IT department with a new self-serve model for students that lets them sign up for the free service on their own.

Office 365 University for Higher-Education Students

Today, we're introducing a new offering for university and college students called Office 365 University. Available in the first quarter of 2013, Office 365 University will be offered online, at retail locations and at Microsoft Stores in 52 markets worldwide.
Starting today, eligible students can buy Office University 2010 or Office University for Mac 2011 and receive a free subscription to Office 365 University when it becomes available.

What are crop marks and why would you want to print them?

Crop marks, also known as trim marks, are lines printed in the corners of your publication's sheet or sheets of paper to show the printer where to trim the paper. They are used by commercial printers for creating bleeds where an image or color on the page needs to extend all the way to the edge of the paper. Printers generally can't actually print to the very edge of the paper, so instead they print on a larger sheet of paper and then trim it down to the correct size. Crop marks are used to define where to trim. So, to print crop marks, you must print on a paper size that is larger than the page size you have set for your publication.
