XLOOKUP is the successor to the iconic VLOOKUP function, which has been one of the most used functions in Excel.<\/p>\n<p>XLOOKUP helps users find what they need more efficiently with fewer limitations, from being able to look up a value vertically <em>and<\/em> horizontally (and to the left!) to supporting column insertions and deletions and more.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/XLOOKUP-in-post-screengrab.gif\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-233877 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/XLOOKUP-in-post-screengrab.gif\" alt=\"An animated image of Excel's XLOOKUP function being used on a tablet.
