To help you stay ahead, we\u2019ll share monthly highlights of new Microsoft Copilot innovations, plus the latest from our customers on how they\u2019re getting the most value from Copilot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In September, we kicked off <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/blog\/2024\/09\/16\/microsoft-365-copilot-wave-2-pages-python-in-excel-and-agents\/\">wave 2 of Copilot<\/a>, including Copilot Pages for AI collaboration; enhanced Copilot features in Microsoft 365 apps like Microsoft Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint; and new Copilot agents to automate business processes. Based on customer feedback, we&#8217;ve dramatically improved performance: Copilot responses are more than two times faster on average, and response satisfaction has improved by nearly three times.<sup>1<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October, we continued this next innovation wave by <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.microsoft.com\/blog\/2024\/10\/21\/new-autonomous-agents-scale-your-team-like-never-before\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">introducing the ability to create autonomous agents<\/a> with Microsoft Copilot Studio, along with new agents that automate business processes. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/dynamics-365\/blog\/business-leader\/2024\/10\/21\/transform-work-with-autonomous-agents-across-your-business-processes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">These new agents<\/a> build capacity for sales, service, finance, and supply chain teams, helping you move from legacy line of business applications to AI-first business processes. Copilot is how you\u2019ll interact with agents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ll have much more to share at Microsoft Ignite 2024, which runs from November 19 through November 21. With <a href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/blog\/Microsoft365CopilotBlog\/personalize-your-outlook-with-unique-dynamic-themes-by-copilot\/4287302\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Themes by Copilot in Outlook<\/a>, you&#8217;ll be able to create a unique theme that speaks to you\u2014it could even change with the weather. It shows how AI can enhance not only how you work, but also how you <em>feel <\/em>at work. These AI-powered themes are accessible to all users with a Microsoft Copilot Pro consumer subscription and business accounts with Copilot enabled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You\u2019ll also be able to use Copilot to <strong>prep for your next meeting in minutes<\/strong>. When you have an upcoming meeting, a &#8220;Prepare&#8221; button will proactively be shown at the top of your inbox. This will help you quickly get context for the meeting by creating an agenda summary and showing and summarizing relevant files. This feature is rolling out in December on web and new Outlook.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We\u2019ve heard from customers that while Copilot has transformed the way they work in Teams, it could use a little help in PowerPoint. We\u2019re thrilled to have taken the first steps toward <strong>a new Copilot in PowerPoint<\/strong>. It starts with Narrative builder. Rolling out this fall, this new capability allows you to tell a story with Copilot as your partner. Rather than jumping from idea to complete presentation, Narrative builder will now write a draft outline for you\u2014one you can edit, add to, reorder, or rework. It puts you in creative control, telling Copilot what you want to see from the presentation. We also added a brand manager feature, which lets you create presentations using your company\u2019s brand guidelines. It\u2019s all part of a new experience, designed to help you tell the most effective story.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plus, you no longer need to be a coder to use<strong> Python in Excel<\/strong>. This fall, we added Copilot in Excel with Python capabilities, democratizing one of the most popular programming languages on the planet. Using natural language, you simply tell Copilot what you\u2019re trying to learn, and it will run the analysis for you, writing Python code that you can review and even edit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Microsoft 365 Copilot in PowerPoint | Narrative builder\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Agrc_gcD4KU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"getting-roi-on-ai\">Getting ROI on AI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Copilot has been generally available for only one year, and already, <strong>nearly 70% of Fortune 500 companies<\/strong> are using it. Customers continue to adopt it at a faster rate than any other new Microsoft 365 suite.&nbsp;And they\u2019re seeing the impact on their business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>With Copilot supporting sales associates, <a href=\"https:\/\/customers.microsoft.com\/en-us\/story\/1771760434465986810-lumen-microsoft-copilot-telecommunications-en-united-states\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lumen Technologies<\/a> projects <strong>$50 million in savings<\/strong> annually.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/news.microsoft.com\/source\/emea\/features\/vodafone-to-roll-out-microsoft-365-copilot-to-68000-employees-to-boost-productivity-innovation-and-quality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vodafone<\/a> is deploying 68,000 licenses after seeing average time savings of <strong>3 hours a week<\/strong> per person, with 90% of users praising the benefits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/customers.microsoft.com\/en-us\/story\/1813696493334607461-finastra-microsoft-copilot-for-microsoft-365-professional-services-en-united-kingdom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Finastra<\/a> is <strong>reducing creative production time<\/strong> from seven months to seven weeks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For one business group here at Microsoft, Copilot is providing a 9.4% increase in revenue per seller and a 20% increase in close rates among high users of the tool.<sup>2<\/sup> That\u2019s according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/worklab\/ai-is-already-changing-work-microsoft-included\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this WorkLab article<\/a> on how AI is already changing work. It\u2019s just one example of how you can <strong>use AI to go on offense, not just for defense<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote blockquote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote blockquote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t just think of Copilot as a way to drive costs out of the business.
