We’re excited to announce the general availability of the Card Gallery component in Power Pages! This release brings key enhancements improving usability and localization support for makers.

New Enhancements in Card Gallery

  1. Multi-language support: Earlier, there was no built-in way to add localization in the card component for multi-language sites. With this update, makers can link button and text hyperlink labels to content snippets in addition to data columns and leverage content snippets for localization across regions dynamically.
  2. Link button and text hyperlink URLs to a webpage: Previously, button and text URLs could only reference a data column value, limiting flexibility of use. With this enhancement, makers can now directly link buttons and text URLs to specific webpages without relying on data columns, providing more control over navigation and user experience.
  3. New optional fields for Card Component: Introducing two new optional fields that can be configured based on specific site requirements. These allow display of additional data within the cards.

We’re thrilled to announce that you can now add custom components in a no code manner to design web pages in the Power Pages design studio! A custom component, also referred to as a web template, is a Power Pages site metadata record used to store template source content.

Previously, adding a custom component to a web page required writing code. Now, makers can add custom components to a section of a page in the design studio in no code manner, just like other components.

With this addition, makers can now:

  • Extend Studio component library with web template based custom components
  • Create web templates and use these as components in web pages
  • Use these as reusable components across webpages in the site and provide parameters to meet their requirements

Visit make.powerpages.microsoft.com to get started.  To learn more, check out the documentation. We look forward to hearing from you!
