The real question is:&nbsp;<em>are your agents smart enough to be useful?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The real differentiator is&nbsp;<strong>intelligence<\/strong>. Agents that understand your business. That remember how you work. That act proactively, not reactively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s Adaptive Intelligence. In the demo, a site coordinator chats with Aligna in Teams:&nbsp;<em>&#8220;@Aligna, I&#8217;m at the Adatum site, log this plumbing issue, inform the client&#8230;&#8221;<\/em>&nbsp;\u2014 and Aligna handles the rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s how each component powers that workflow:<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/aligna-architecture-1024x576.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-133162 webp-format\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/aligna-architecture-1024x576.webp 1024w, https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/aligna-architecture-300x169.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/aligna-architecture-768x432.webp 768w, https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/aligna-architecture-809x455.webp 809w, https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/aligna-architecture.webp 1280w\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/aligna-architecture-1024x576.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"step-1-microsoft-agent-framework\">Step 1: Microsoft Agent Framework<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Aligna is built on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/agent-framework\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Microsoft Agent Framework<\/a><\/strong>\u2014it&#8217;s what enables the agent to receive the Teams prompt, decide which tools to call, and orchestrate the entire workflow. When the user describes the plumbing issue, the Agent Framework routes the request to the right tools (Dataverse MCP for logging, Mail MCP for communication) and manages the execution flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"step-2-dataverse-mcp\">Step 2: Dataverse MCP<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the user says &#8220;log this plumbing issue,&#8221;\u00a0<strong>Aligna uses\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-apps\/maker\/data-platform\/data-platform-mcp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dataverse MCP<\/a>\u00a0(now in GA) to create the issue record<\/strong>\u00a0directly in Dataverse\u2014no forms, no app-switching. All business data (clients, contacts, projects, vendors) lives in Dataverse, and MCP provides the standardized interface for Aligna to read and write that data through natural language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"step-3-mail-mcp-server\">Step 3: Mail MCP Server<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the user says &#8220;inform the client,&#8221;&nbsp;<strong>Aligna uses the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-agent-365\/mcp-server-reference\/mail\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mail MCP Server<\/a>&nbsp;to draft and send the email<\/strong>\u2014all within the same conversational flow. The client gets notified about the issue without the user ever leaving Teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"step-4-agent-365-sdk\">Step 4: Agent 365 SDK<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every action Aligna takes\u2014logging the issue, sending the email\u2014is&nbsp;<strong>recorded via the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/agents-sdk\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Agent 365 SDK<\/a>&nbsp;for compliance and audit<\/strong>.
