This can be achieved by using the on-premises data gateway, that allows you to establish secured connections and integrate them with your flows. At launch, the gateway functionality will be supported by SQL Server. As part of our <a href=\"https:\/\/businessplatform.microsoft.com\/en-us\/\">business application platform<\/a>, this gateway can be used across Power BI, PowerApps, and Microsoft Flow to deliver dashboards, reports, applications and flows leveraging on-premises sources.<br \/>\nIn this blog post, we are going to look at creating a connection to an on-premise SQL database.<br \/>\nTo start off, you will need to install a gateway on a machine that is in the same network as the SQL server. This machine must be <strong><em>always <\/em><\/strong>on and be <em><strong>always <\/strong><\/em>connected to the internet. <a href=\"https:\/\/go.microsoft.com\/fwlink\/?LinkID=820580&amp;clcid=0x409\">Download the gateway installer<\/a> and follow the prompts to complete the installation process.<br \/>\nWhen prompted to register the gateway, be sure to use the same credentials, as the ones used to sign-in to Microsoft Flow.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Registering a Gateway\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/BlogPost_0-1.png\" style=\"width: 647px; height: 598px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Additonal details about gateway installation can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/go.microsoft.com\/fwlink\/?LinkID=820582&amp;clcid=0x409\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Create a new SQL connection<\/h3>\n<p>Once you are Microsoft Flow, select the account menu and navigate to the \u201cMy Connections\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/BlogPost_1.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Click \u201cAdd a Connection\u201d button in the top right corner and then select SQL server.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/BlogPost_2.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Select the \u201cConnect via on premise data gateway\u201d checkbox. Next, provide the server name, database name, credentials and make sure the correct gateway is selected.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/BlogPost_3.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>After successfully, creating the connection \u2013 you should be able to access the on-premise database that you just connected to. You can use this connection, in any other flow just as you would use any other connection.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some <a href=\"https:\/\/flow.microsoft.com\/en-us\/services\/shared_sql\/sql-azure\/\">SQL
