{"id":110794,"date":"2017-02-27T10:25:51","date_gmt":"2017-02-27T18:25:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/power-automate\/trigger-flow-buttons-web\/"},"modified":"2017-02-27T10:25:51","modified_gmt":"2017-02-27T18:25:51","slug":"trigger-flow-buttons-web","status":"publish","type":"power-automate","link":"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/power-automate\/trigger-flow-buttons-web\/","title":{"rendered":"Trigger your Flow buttons from the Flow web site"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Triggering Flow buttons in the web site<\/h2>\n<p>There is a now an easy way to test and run your Flow buttons from inside your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/flow.microsoft.com\/manage\/flows\"><strong>My flows<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/flow.microsoft.com\/manage\/flows\/shared\"><strong>Team flows<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0lists on the Flow web site. When looking at your flow list, simply select the More (<strong>&#8230;<\/strong>) menu for the flow you want to run. You will see a new <strong>Run now<\/strong> command:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/trigger-flow-buttons-run.png\" style=\"width: 298px; height: 173px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Note that the Run now only shows up for the flows that have triggers you can invoke on-demand, such as the <strong>Flow button<\/strong> trigger or the <strong>Recurrence<\/strong> trigger. Flows that run in response to other events, such as when you get a new email or when a file is added, cannot be explicitly run.<\/p>\n<p>Once you select the command, you will be given an option to provide any inputs the Flow needs to start:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/trigger-flow-buttons-dialog.png\" style=\"width: 383px; height: 250px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>After you select <strong>Run flow<\/strong>, the actions in the flow will start running, and you will be taken to the run details page to see the full activity of that flow run. For example, you can see steps as they execute, and if there is a failure, you can see the details of the error message.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/trigger-flow-buttons-activity.png\" style=\"width: 448px; height: 178px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t used Flow buttons before, check out <a href=\"https:\/\/flow.microsoft.com\/templates\/?category=button\">some of these templates<\/a> to get started with Flow buttons.\u00a0Flow buttons can even collect inputs (as above with the Outlook Tasks screenshot) when they run.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/flow.microsoft.com\/templates\/?category=buttonparameters\" style=\"font-size: 13.008px;\">Here are eight different templates<\/a> for everything from creating a task, to opening a new account in Dynamics 365:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flow.microsoft.com\/templates\/?category=buttonparameters\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/trigger-flow-buttons-templates.png\" style=\"width: 396px; height: 197px;\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>New services and functionality<\/h2>\n<p>This week we added support for <strong>five<\/strong> new services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/flow.microsoft.com\/services\/shared_oracle\/oracle-database\/\"><strong>Oracle Database<\/strong><\/a> &#8211;\u00a0Oracle Database is a relational database management system developed by Oracle. Connect to on-premise Oracle Database to perform various actions such as create, update, get, and delete on rows in a table.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/flow.microsoft.com\/services\/shared_intercom\/intercom\/\">Intercom<\/a>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Intercom makes messaging apps for businesses that help them understand and talk to consumers.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/flow.microsoft.com\/services\/shared_freshbooks\/freshbooks\/\"><strong>FreshBooks <\/strong><\/a>&#8211; a cloud based small business accounting software. Send invoices, track time, manage receipts and expenses.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/flow.microsoft.com\/services\/shared_leankit\/leankit\/\"><strong>LeanKit <\/strong><\/a>&#8211;\u00a0Helping teams work together to deliver customer value, faster.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/flow.microsoft.com\/services\/shared_webmerge\/webmerge\/\"><strong>WebMerge <\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Automatically populate templates with data from your favorite cloud apps. Never copy &amp; paste again!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each week we also update existing services with additional functionality. For example, this week we added a new network picker for the Yammer API.
