Previously, there were a few links along the <em>top<\/em> of the portal. Some pages, such as <strong>Connections<\/strong> and <strong>Custom connectors<\/strong>, were relegated to the Settings gear in the top right, and many people had difficulty finding these pages.<\/p>\n<p>With the October release, we are moving to a <em>left-side<\/em> navigation. This new navigation has a <strong>Data<\/strong> section, which includes access to aspects of <strong>Connections<\/strong>, but also to your Common Data Service <strong>Entities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"New left-side navigation\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/flow-ui-enhancements-1.png\" style=\"height: 410px; width: 219px;\" title=\"New left-side navigation\"\/><\/p>\n<p>This change is also important because it allows us to add more items into the navigation in the future, such as the solution management feature that is coming soon. This will enable you to group your flows into logical components (one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/powerusers.microsoft.com\/t5\/Flow-Ideas\/Provide-a-method-of-organising-Flows\/idi-p\/87796\">top ideas<\/a> in the Ideas forum).<\/p>\n<p>Finally, you can expand and collapse the left navigation from the button at the top of the nav.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"themyflowslist\">The My flows list<\/h2>\n<p>We are simplifying the experience in the My flows list, and making it consistent with other Microsoft user interfaces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Simplified My flows list\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/flow-ui-enhancements-2.png\" style=\"height: 347px; width: 550px;\" title=\"Simplified My flows list\"\/><\/p>\n<p>In this new experience, you can run <em>Instant flows<\/em> (those flows triggered manually, such as flows triggered by the Flow button for mobile) by selecting the Run button from the Flow list. We have also made it easier to identify which flows are on by dimming the icons of flows that are off.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"addingtriggersandactionsintheflowdesigner\">Adding triggers and actions in the Flow designer<\/h2>\n<p>Third, we have a new experience for adding triggers and actions in the Flow designer. When you add a <strong>trigger<\/strong> you will see an experience like this:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Add a trigger\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/flow-ui-enhancements-3.png\" style=\"height: 391px; width: 397px;\" title=\"Add a trigger\"\/><\/p>\n<p>This new experience gives you the ability to browse your connectors by category. For example, you can see which connectors are <strong>Premium<\/strong> or the <strong>Custom<\/strong> connectors in your environment.<\/p>\n<p>Next, when you select <strong>New step<\/strong>, you\u2019ll no longer see the secondary flyout where you would choose between adding an action, condition, or more. Now, you\u2019ll immediately be taken to the <strong>Choose an action<\/strong> dialog, which saves you from always making an extra selection.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Choose an action\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/power-platform\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/flow-ui-enhancements-4.png\" style=\"height: 364px; width: 398px;\" title=\"Choose an action\"\/><\/p>\n<p>We have combined all of the <strong>Control<\/strong> actions into this dialog, so you can still select <strong>Condition<\/strong> immediately.
