À propos
I am a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research India (opens in new tab) where I work in the Systems (opens in new tab) research group. I am primarily interested in working on fundamental computer systems problems. My current efforts are targeted towards improving the performance of ML workloads – particularly the large language models (LLMs).
I obtained my PhD (July 2022) from the Department of Computer Science and Automation (opens in new tab) at Indian Institute of Science (opens in new tab), Bangalore, India where I worked with Prof. K. Gopinath and Prof. Arkaprava Basu. During PhD, I received the prestigious Prime Minister’s Fellowship Scheme for Doctoral Research, co-sponsored by the Confederation of Indian Industry and Microsoft Research India. My thesis explores the role of operating systems in improving the performance and efficiency of the virtual memory abstraction – a pre-requisite to building efficient large-scale memory systems and applications. These contributions revolve around optimizing huge pages and memory management for NUMA systems.
