À propos
Dr. Nina-Paravecino is currently a Principal Research Manager at Microsoft Cloud AI, where she leads a highly interdisciplinary team in Microsoft Azure operating at the intersection of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver the fastest AI execution at the cloud scale. Recent contributions are optimizations of memory management on large scale AI models and high-performance execution of distributed AI system at the cloud scale for inference and training. From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Nina Paravecino was a Research Scientist at Intel where she developed state-of-the-art real-time AI execution for 3D point cloud reconstruction and skeletal kinetics tracking. Previously, major contributions have been in state-of-the-art parallel application that exploit hardware features such as nested parallelism and concurrent kernel execution that target applications such as Monte Carlo Simulation of 3D photon migrations (MCX), recursive graph traversal algorithms, image segmentations, and computer vision algorithms among others. In 2017, she received the Outstanding Research Award for her contributions on exploitation of advanced parallel features.
