À propos

I am a Researcher at Staion Q Purdue studying materials for topological quantum computing.  I am part of an international team working to  develop a commercially available fault tolerant quantum computer.

I use ultra-high vacuum (UHV) deposition and molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) techniques to grow superconductor semiconductor hybrid heterostructures.  MBE allows us to build semiconductor and superconductor structures one atomic layer at a time, precisely engineering the electronic properties of the material to meet the requirements for quantum computing.  The development of these hybrid structures requires input and collaboration from theory, simulation, structural characterization, device processing and low temperature transport characterization.

Before joining Microsoft in early 2017, I served as a Research Associate at Purdue University.  Working with Prof. Michael Manfra I researched ultra-high mobility two dimensional electron gasses (2DEGs) in AlGaAs-GaAs quantum well heterostructures. Prior to 2009 that I held staff positions as an Fabrication Research Engineer at the Birck Nanotechnology Center and Experimental Engineer at the Applied Physics Laboratory. I earned a B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD in applied physics, physics and materials engineering respectively at Purdue University.

My Google Scholar page (opens in new tab) has a listing of my publications and preprints.
