关于

I’m an optical scientist at Microsoft Research Cambridge.  I work on Project Silica, a new cloud storage technology that uses femtosecond lasers to store data in glass.

I also work closely with Adrian Travis from the Applied Sciences Group on holographic technologies for next-generation augmented reality displays.

I gained my PhD in 2015 from Imperial College London where I worked on improving fluorescence microscopes using spatial light modulators.  I built a microscope that can determine the 3D orientation of fluorescent molecules.  Prior to joining Microsoft I worked in the Medical Technologies industry for 4 years at TTP and Cambridge Consultants.  In 2009 I gained my MSci degree in Experimental and Theoretical Physics from Cambridge University.
