À propos
I am a Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research, India. My current research interests lie at the intersection of deep learning and systems, and application of computing and AI for low-cost healthcare.
Prior to joining Microsoft Research, I co-founded a startup in the personal videos space, working on understanding videos and providing a search and browse experience, akin to photos for videos. Before that, I worked at Google for 4 years, in the Web Search Infrastructure and AdWords backend teams. My work included a new architecture to improve the cpu and memory performance of the search serving stack, various infrastructure projects in the ad-serving systems, and a variety of ad-quality improvement efforts.
I obtained my Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University in 2011. My research was in the area of physically based simulation, with focus on compressible flow and solid fluid coupling, with applications to both computer graphics and scientific computing.
