Jitu Padhye got his PhD from UMass Amherst back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. He first worked in Microsoft Research for several years, on various topics including wireless networks and congestion controls. He then moved to Azure Networking, where he is working on RDMA as well as various aspects of network health, including formal verification.
He has published numerous research papers in top conferences, and holds over 25 US patents. He is the recipient of the ACM SIGCOMM’s Test of Time award. He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2000.
