Ramachandran Ramjee is currently a Partner Research Manager at Microsoft Research, India. He leads a team of systems researchers and engineers focused on making AI Infrastructure efficient.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Ramjee spent ten years at Bell Labs, USA as a technical manager and a distinguished member of technical staff. His research interests include systems and machine learning. He has published over 100 papers and is a co-inventor on over 50 patents.
He is the recipient of several best paper awards including the 2019 ACM SIGMOBILE and ACM SENSYS TEST OF TIME awards. He has taught two graduate-level courses in wireless networks as an adjunct faculty at Columbia University. He is an ACM Distinguished Scientist and a Fellow of the IEEE and the INAE.
Ramachandran received his B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Madras, and his M.S./Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
