Education
I am a PhD in Computer Science at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and during my thesis I developed a Monte Carlo based method for Seismic Inversion implemented in a distributed environment.
I received my MSc Degree in Systems Engineering at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro working with distributed shared memory systems.
Work at Microsoft Research
I am a member of the Systems Research Group, and I am currently working on Serverless project.
My previous work at Microsoft Research includes:
- Project Fiddle (data lineage for large language models), working in research and development of the MGit tool
- Optimization of DNN workloads in the the cloud using GPUs
- Self-managed datacenters
- Large scale machine learning services
Previous work
Before Microsoft Research I have 20 years of experience in high performance parallel and distributed systems and applications.
