À propos
I am an Applied Scientist at Microsoft Developer Division, leading an applied research team that leverages AI and Machine learning to empower developers around the world. My research goal is to utilize natural and programming languages on large scale data (GitHub and internal Microsoft repositories) to develop models that can generate secure and efficient code.
Currently, we are focusing on the following research questions:
- How to develop «AI for Code» agents that can generate secure and performant code?
- How to develop AI agents that go beyond coding to design and deploy complex software system architectures in an efficient and secure way in the cloud?
Prior to Microsoft I was a researcher at Code and Cognition lab at the University of Washington. My research confirmed the positive effect of sharing social information and accomplishments on motivating developers’ who are learning how to code. Before that, I completed my PhD in computer science at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, where I leveraged machine learning and natural language processing to build a new platform to support consensus building in open source discussions.
