We now live in a data-driven world, where big data are generated and captured by computing devices and sensors on and around us. As critical decisions are made based on data, understanding data has become a core part of information work. Both experts and lay individuals have access to large amounts of data. Data visualization is a powerful means to understand, analyze, and explore data, as well as to identify and communicate data insights. A lack of access to data visualization and underlying data impacts educational and work opportunities, as well as health and lifestyle. Inclusive data visualization is a multi-faceted problem; several inter-related sub-problems need to be solved together to have an optimal impact. Our goal is to empower everyone by providing meaningful access to a visualization and its underlying data.
