ChatArt: Interactive Pictographic Chat

ChatArt is a texting, chat-style application that allows users to interact pictographically and not simply through words. Users can manage groups and send picture messages to friends of their choice. Users have the option of sending both text and pictures to their friends. Interaction can occur either with a single friend or a group of people.

Tara attends Redmond High School and will be a senior in the fall of 2011. This summer she has worked to evaluate the Hawaii services and SDK for appropriateness for high-school students, and to develop a WP7 app that leverages these services. She is an avid roboteer, and has been participating the VEX Robotics competition for the past 3 years. She enjoys designing, building and programming competition robots which have received awards at the VEX World Championships. In addition to robotics, she’s been dancing (Indian Classical Dance, Bharatanatyam) since the age of 3 and has performed at numerous locations in the Seattle Area, (ie., NW Folklife, World Rhythm Festival).
