Venue:<\/strong> India Habitat Centre (opens in new tab)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(Jacaranda Room)Opens in a new tab<\/span><\/p>\n ACM India and Microsoft Research India hosted a \u2018Faculty Summit\u2019 in New Delhi at The India Habitat Centre on February 4th and 5th 2013. The broad theme of the summit was ‘Scaling up Research and Innovation in Indian institutions’. The agenda included talks, joint sessions to lay down the background, and break-out sessions relating to the theme.<\/p>\n The Faculty Summit got together attendees from the top academic research institutions in the country, along with representation from the government and the industry.<\/p>\n Dr. Shashi Tharoor<\/strong>, the Hon’ble Minister of State, Human Resource Development<\/strong> addressed the summit on the first day.<\/p>\n ACM India (opens in new tab)<\/span><\/a> and Microsoft Research India<\/a> hope that this summit will pave the way towards identifying actions for the future that the computing community can take up together.<\/p>\n Opens in a new tab<\/span><\/p>\nProgram Committee<\/strong><\/h2>\n
