The goal is to gather people in the field to share ideas and discuss\u00a0initiatives to increase the presence of Black\u00a0people in the field of\u00a0artificial intelligence, for both diversity and data bias prevention purposes. At this workshop, Black researchers in AI will also have the opportunity to present their work during our oral and poster sessions.<\/p>\n While NIPS is currently sold out, you do not need to register for NIPS in order to attend or present at our Black in AI workshop. Some travel stipends are available to those interested in attending, apply here (opens in new tab)<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n Potential presenters are welcome to submit (opens in new tab)<\/span><\/a> their work, including theoretical, empirical, and applied work in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
