The Machine Learning Group at Microsoft Research Asia drives the frontier of machine learning across theory, algorithms, and applications. Our interests span deep learning, reinforcement learning, graph learning, pre-training, learning theory, and more. We also actively explore how AI can create value in industry, empowering traditional sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Improve the performance of language and multimodal large models on 2D\/3D generation and understanding tasks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Publish high-quality research papers and open-source core algorithms, code, and models to expand community impact.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Solid background of language and multimodal models, with hands-on experience of pre-training or fine-tuning open-source models such as LLaMA or Qwen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Research experience or strong interest in one or more of the following areas: 2D image\/graphic design, 3D scenes, or 3D CAD.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Strong academic writing skills; prior publications in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ECCV, ICCV) are preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Internship Duration Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
