IoN is\u00a0an inexpensive\u00a0and scalable ultra-long-range IoT network that connects resource-constrained end devices to Azure, using innovations in VHF narrowband wireless technology. IoN has 100 times the area coverage and 10 times the capacity of competing long-range (LoRa) technologies. IoN\u2019s base stations are easy to install and manage, and the technology\u2019s cloud-powered clean-slate design optimizes MAC protocols for the uplink-heavy, cloud-endpoint requirements of most IoT applications.<\/p>\n

The IoN team has developed and patented BDMUMIMO, a new blind-distributed multi-user MIMO technique that helps scale transmission capacity within the same spectrum by adding antennae.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
