Developing and appreciating 3D graphics and
\nanimations has become a requirement not only in
\nresearch projects, but also in many practical
\napplications and daily activities, such as
\nadvertising, movies, games, TV, training and
\nrehabilitation. 3D content has also been integrated
\ninto many social web applications such as Second
\nLife, GOOGLE and so on. Evolving from
\ntraditional 2D videos, the current development
\ntrend aims toward enriching human viewing
\nexperience by introducing higher dimension
\ndomains. Other than a totally immersive virtual
\nreality environment, such as the CAVE utilizing
\ncomparatively heavy head mounted and sensing
\ndevices, wearing light-weight 3D glasses is
\nbecoming commonplace, with the added
\nconvenience of enjoying 3D movies at ease in
\nIMAX theatres and even watching 3D televisions
\nleisurely at home. Initiated as research goals, many
\n3DTV hardware and software have been delivered
