We propose that the use of GenAI tools in knowledge work builds on a well-established practice of content repurposing. Drawing on data from three studies into how knowledge workers reuse content, we suggest that GenAI tools have the potential to support this practice in new ways. However, there is a need for these technologies to support knowledge workers in learning through content generation, and in understanding the wider organisational context of the source materials they work with, if they are to support the production of organisational knowledge and the development of worker skill.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
