Some examples of their use in R&D include virtual clinical trials, identifying biomarkers, and creating knowledge graphs. For pre-diagnosis and clinical practice, AI applications are being used in clinical decision support systems (CDSS), diabetes management programs, and digital therapeutics (DTx). Meanwhile, the internet hospital model is becoming a new treatment journey for patients, and there is great potential for AI application in this space.
