This Node.js connector allows you to connect from platform of your choice to SQL Server on premise and in the cloud. Tedious is a native JavaScript connector that provides the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npmjs.com\/package\/tedious\">npm<\/a> install experience.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/sql-server\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Capture_thumb1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"Capture\" src=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/sql-server\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Capture_thumb1.png\" alt=\"Capture\" width=\"185\" height=\"240\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m pleased to share that Microsoft is now a collaborator for <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/tediousjs\/tedious\/\">Tedious on GitHub<\/a> and contributes actively to this community-initiated effort. The Tedious Node.js connector is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Cross-platform:<\/b> You can connect to SQL Server anywhere from node.js from platform of your choice \u2013 be it Windows, macOS, or Linux.<\/li>\n<li><b>Open-source:<\/b> As a matter of fact, it is a project initiated by the open-source community and continues to be driven by the community. This allows us to engage with developers on GitHub, develop transparently and gather feedback quickly.<\/li>\n<li><b>Officially supported:<\/b> You can contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) via phone, email, twitter, forums, etc. to report and get help with any issue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are fixing bugs found via issues reported on GitHub and are partnering with developers to make Tedious better. We are planning on adding support for advanced SQL Server features like <a href=\"https:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/ff878716.aspx\">Multi-Subnet Failover<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/hh510230.aspx\">Always On Availability Groups<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/mt163865.aspx\">Always Encrypted<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/azure\/sql-database\/sql-database-aad-authentication\">Azure Active Directory (AAD)<\/a>, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Windows Integrated Authentication is the most common <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/tediousjs\/tedious\/issues\/415\">issue<\/a> reported by developers on GitHub and the top request from customers.
