{"id":25564,"date":"2018-11-21T11:00:54","date_gmt":"2018-11-21T19:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/sql-server\/blog\/?p=25564"},"modified":"2019-07-08T08:34:03","modified_gmt":"2019-07-08T15:34:03","slug":"ssms-17-9-1-is-now-generally-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/sql-server\/blog\/2018\/11\/21\/ssms-17-9-1-is-now-generally-available\/","title":{"rendered":"SSMS 17.9.1 is now generally available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Update: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/sql-server\/blog\/2019\/06\/11\/sql-server-management-studio-ssms-18-1-is-now-generally-available\/\">SQL Server Management Studio 18.1<\/a> is now generally available.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We are excited to announce the release of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 17.9.1.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/sql\/ssms\/download-sql-server-management-studio-ssms\">Download SSMS 17.9.1<\/a> today and for details please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/sql\/ssms\/sql-server-management-studio-changelog-ssms#ssms-1791-latest-ga-release\">Release Notes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This is a minor update to 17.9 with the following important improvements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Occasionally, SSMS closes MFA query editor connections with no outstanding transactions.<\/strong> A simple way to repro this is as follows:\n<ul>\n<li>Open a New Query window in SSMS<\/li>\n<li>Connect to Azure SQL DB with MFA<\/li>\n<li>Create a global temp table, insert some data and run a SELECT from the table<\/li>\n<li>After a few seconds, re-run the above SELECT statement<\/li>\n<li>The Temp table may have been dropped, in certain scenarios<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Based on a few CSS cases and the impact of these issues, we decided to release a minor update for the benefit of our customers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>DAC Wizards<\/strong>: DacFX Import\/Export fails with the below error during import:\n<ul>\n<li>Failed to connect to server sqlce.database.windows.net.
