You can also follow me on Twitter: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitter.com\/brian_swan\">http:\/\/www.twitter.com\/brian_swan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">In case you didn\u2019t know, Microsoft has taken some BIG strides in the last few years (and even the last few months) toward making Microsoft technologies easily accessible via <a href=\"http:\/\/php.net\/\">PHP<\/a> (the increasingly popular open source server-side scripting language). SQL Server is no exception among those Microsoft technologies. In August of 2008 and October of 2009 versions 1 and 1.1 (respectively) of the SQL Server Driver for PHP were released. Microsoft was a major contributor to the <a href=\"https:\/\/azuremarketplace.microsoft.com\/en-us\/marketplace\/apps\/aad.codeplex?tab=overview\">Azure SDK for PHP<\/a> which was released in November of 2009. Other recent projects include <a href=\"http:\/\/mvolo.com\/blogs\/serverside\/archive\/2006\/09\/29\/Making-PHP-rock-on-Windows_2F00_IIS.aspx\">IIS improvements for PHP apps<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/aspnet\/web-forms\/videos\/data-access\/adonet-data-services\/\">Toolkit for PHP with ADO.NET Data Services<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/web\/downloads\/platform.aspx\">Web Platform Installer<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/ruslany.net\/2009\/11\/wincache-extension-1-0-for-php-release-to-web\/\">WinCache Extension 1.0 for PHP<\/a>\u2026again the list goes on. For many of those projects, the source code is freely available; in the case of the WinCache Extension, the source code has been contributed to <a href=\"http:\/\/pecl.php.net\/package-info.php?package=WinCache&amp;version=1.0.0\">PECL<\/a>.
