Cantonese (Language code YUE) is spoken by about 55 million people in China, and another 20M globally. With the new language, governments, communities and, people will be able to communicate back and forth across borders for both business and personal purposes, as Microsoft Translator currently supports Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Vietnamese, and Malay.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft Translator supports a wide range of Microsoft products and apps to communicate across language barriers in nearly any scenario where timely and cost effective translation is necessary. It is integrated into <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/bing.com\/translator\">Bing<\/a>, Microsoft Office (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator\/word.aspx\">Word<\/a>**, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator\/wol.aspx\">Word Online<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator\/powerpoint.aspx\">PowerPoint<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator\/excel.aspx\">Excel<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator\/outlook.aspx\">Outlook<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator\/publisher.aspx\">Publisher<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator\/onenote.aspx\">OneNote<\/a>, and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator\/visio.aspx\">Visio<\/a>), <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator\/sharepoint.aspx\">SharePoint<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.msdn.com\/b\/translation\/archive\/2015\/09\/01\/get-instant-translations-from-cortana-your-personal-digital-assistant-in-windows-10.aspx\">Cortana<\/a>, and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator\/yammer.aspx\">Yammer<\/a>. Cantonese will also be available as an instant messaging language in <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.skype.com\/\">Skype for Windows desktop<\/a> so that you can communicate in real time around the world. It is also available through the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator\/translatorapi.aspx\">Microsoft Translator API<\/a>, so developers can integrate Cantonese translation into their own products and apps.<\/p>\n<p>Adding Cantonese brings us a step closer to our ultimate goal \u2014 permanently breaking down the language barriers that separate us, by allowing people to translate anything, anywhere, at any time.
