The Presentation Translator add-in for PowerPoint is no longer available for download, beginning July 31, 2020. You can use the native translation features of PowerPoint to translate your slides and to add live captioning and subtitling to your presentations.<\/p>\n
If you have already downloaded Presentation Translator, the add-in will continue to work, however technical support and updates to the service will no longer be provided. We recommend that you use the native translation features in PowerPoint, described below.<\/p>\n
To translate text in\u202fPowerPoint, select the text then navigate to the\u202fReview<\/strong>\u202ftab and select\u202fTranslate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n You can provide\u202ftranslated\u202fsubtitles to your presentations on the\u202fSlide Show<\/strong>\u202fribbon tab\u202fby\u202fselecting\u202fSubtitle Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n You can turn subtitles on and off by using the subtitle toggle in the Slide Show View or Presenter View.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Learn more about adding subtitles and captioning in the\u202fMicrosoft Office website<\/a>.<\/p>\n If your presentation requires subtitles in multiple languages at once, PowerPoint\u2019s Live Presentation feature is native within PowerPoint for the web. With Live Presentations, audience members can see a presentation on their own devices and read live subtitles in their preferred language while you speak.<\/p>\n Live Presentations is currently only available for PowerPoint for the web. To use the feature, you will first need to save your presentation to the web<\/a>.<\/p>\n In the Slide Show<\/strong> ribbon tab, select Present Live<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A QR code will appear on the screen. Audience members can scan the code and the presentation deck will load in their devices\u2019 web browser, there is no need for them to install anything.<\/p>\n As you speak, subtitles will be displayed on the audience members\u2019 screen below the deck.
