The Microsoft Translator app for Windows is no longer available for download from the Microsoft Store. Please read the blog below to discover all your options for translating on your Windows device.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Microsoft Translator app for Windows desktop will no longer be available for download, beginning April 8, 2021. If you have already downloaded the desktop app, it will continue to work however technical support and updates to the service will no longer be provided. This does not affect any other translation features in Microsoft products that use the Microsoft Translator service.<\/p>\n Microsoft Translator is focused on providing quality translation solutions when and where you need them. We continue to offer products to help you translate speech, text, and images: the Microsoft Translator mobile app<\/a> on Android<\/a> and iOS<\/a> devices, the browser version<\/a> of Translator\u2019s multi-device conversations, and Translator for Bing<\/a>. Microsoft Translator also powers the native translation features in Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) as well as translation within the Microsoft Edge browser.<\/p>\n To continue having translated conversations on your Windows device, head to the translate.it<\/a> on Microsoft Edge or your preferred web browser. The site provides the same capabilities for multi-device conversations as the Windows app\u2014hold translated conversations with up to 250 people, each joining from their own computer or mobile device.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Microsoft Translator app for Android<\/a> and iOS<\/a> provides the following features:<\/p>\n Multi-device conversations:<\/strong> Hold translated conversations with up to 250 people, with each person participating in their own language from their own device.<\/p>\n Text translation:<\/strong> Type text in 90 languages and dialects, and get an instant translation back. You can download offline language packs in selected languages to translate text when you’re offline.<\/p>\n Speech translation*:<\/strong> Use split-screen translation to speak two languages into one microphone for one-on-one conversations, or tap and speak into the microphone to translate short phrases while online.<\/p>\n Camera*:<\/strong> Translate the text in photos with the app’s built-in camera viewer, or upload saved photos from your gallery.<\/p>\n Phrasebooks*:<\/strong> View verified translations for travel, directions, lodging, dining, and more.
