Human translators may not always be available to assist in translation, however. The Microsoft Translator and Group Transcribe apps can bridge this gap, helping people communicate across language barriers through one-on-one and multi-device conversation translation, powered by Translator, a Microsoft Azure Cognitive Service.<\/p>\n<p>The Translator app is available on <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.microsoft.translator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Android<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/app\/microsoft-translator\/id1018949559\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iOS,<\/a> and as a web app available at <a href=\"https:\/\/translate.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/translate.it<\/a>. The app\u00a0can be used to communicate with other users using web or mobile. The Group Transcribe app is available on <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/group-transcribe\/id1527145885\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iOS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>How to use the Microsoft Translator app<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Translate conversations on a single device<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the Translator app, you can translate a conversation between two people on a single device. To do this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the Translator app on Android or iOS.<\/li>\n<li>Press the &#8220;Speech Translation&#8221; icon: <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-9465 alignnone\" src=\"https://www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/translator/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2022\/03\/feat-icon-speech-v3-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"25\" height=\"25\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Press &#8220;Split&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Select your languages.<\/li>\n<li>If needed, press the &#8220;Flip&#8221; icon to flip the top half of the screen for the other member of the conversation.<\/li>\n<li>Press the &#8220;Microphone&#8221; icon to speak.
