Empower employees with the Microsoft Workplace Discount Programme

The Workplace Discount Programme is an employee purchase programme designed for Microsoft's valued customers and offered through your company. It enables employees to purchase premium, up-to-date Microsoft 365 Family and Personal subscriptions at a substantially discounted rate for use on employees’ personal devices

The Home Use Programme name was updated to Workplace Discount Programme in July 2022. Any previously purchased discounted products are not affected by the change in the programme name. You’ll continue to receive discounted rates on qualified subscriptions if you keep auto-renewal turned on.

For employees to take advantage of the Workplace Discount Programme pricing, they need a valid corporate email address and an active Microsoft account, and the organisation will need to meet one of the following criteria:

• Customers who have active Software Assurance for qualifying Office applications.
  
• Customers who have Microsoft 365/Microsoft 365 E3/E5 from Software Assurance.
• Commercial and government customers who have purchased 2,000 licences or more of one or a mix of Microsoft 365 E3 or E5.
• Commercial and government customers who have spent $250,000 USD or more in the previous 12 months on eligible Power BI, Office, Surface devices and accessories, Windows and Enterprise Mobility.
• Education and non-profit customers.

To qualify for the Workplace Discount Programme, employees must work at a company that qualifies for the Workplace Discount Programme and have a corporate email address. To verify your company’s eligibility, direct your company’s IT administrator to the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre. From here, the IT administrator can verify whether your company is eligible for the Workplace Discount Programme and set up the benefit for your employees.

The Workplace Discount Programme offers a 30% discount on Microsoft 365 Family or Personal annual subscription for use at home.

For employees who qualify for the Microsoft 365 subscription offer and have purchased through the programme, the discounted price applies for as long as the employee’s subscription remains active, regardless of their employment status with your organisation.

The Workplace Discount Programme offers discounts on the latest versions of Microsoft 365 Personal and Family, which are always up to date with premium versions of Microsoft 365 apps across all your devices.
