Amirreza Shaban is a computer-vision and machine-learning Ph.D. student at Georgia Tech with interests in various areas such as semantic image and video understanding, online learning, and metalearning. In his Ph.D. with Byron Boots at Georgia tech he works on applications of meta-learning in few-shot object detection and segmentation, weakly-supervised video segmentation, and more theoretical directions in meta-learning like bi-level optimization, and meta-online-learning.
