Bring your own storage to Azure Maps.
The Azure Maps Data Registry API allows you to improve map data management, while boosting user experiences and reducing latency and inefficiency in your applications.
Azure Storage Account
Instead of having to upload your map data to our backend services, you can now link your Azure Storage data to Maps.
Robust Support
A wide range of file types, including Geofences collections and GeoJSON files, are supported by the Data Registry API.
Data Control
Ensure your data is stored where you want it stored, in complete compliance with local data protection regulations.
Access Control
Set up fine-grained access control to define exactly who can access your company and customer data in Azure Maps.
Secure Azure Blob Storage
With the Data Registry API, you can make your Azure Storage files available to your Azure Maps Account to reduce latency and improve productivity. You can easily create an Azure Storage account if you don’t already have one.
Data Visualization
You can apply your own data and visualize it on a variety of map styles to provide new and improved services to your users as part of your application.
Regulatory Compliance
The Azure Storage and Azure Maps accounts can only be linked when they’re located within the same geographic boundaries. This ensures compliance with the same regulatory codes
Role-based access control
You can use the Data Registry API to control which Azure Storage data Azure Maps can use. You can also define specific roles and permissions to control data access for enhanced map data management.
Data Validation
When you register a file in Azure Maps, it is encoded using an MD5 hash to ensure its integrity. To modify the file, you need to call the same API to re-register your data.
Azure Maps Data Registry Service
The Data Registry service helps simplify map data management and regulatory compliance, while contributing to improved product management and efficiency for your enterprise.
