Matthew leads the product groups for Agriculture, Energy, Manufacturing, Mobility, and Retail-Consumer Packaged Goods to adapt Microsoft’s platforms to industry verticals. His team develops first-party vertical building blocks and co-builds comprehensive industry solutions through the Microsoft Cloud with Microsoft’s partner ecosystem. Matthew joined Microsoft in 2001 to work on the Windows Core OS, followed by 10 years working in Azure, and several years working on industry verticals within Microsoft. Matthew holds several patents, contributed to Azure’s initial commercial launch, extended Azure to be operated in China with our partner 21Vianet, integrated Azure with M365, and led Microsoft’s blockchain product incubation.
