With 2024 in full swing, Microsoft ACTS, our Advanced Cloud Transparency Services initiative, continues our mission to assist governments in creating a brighter future by tackling corruption.
ACTS has made it easier for governments to identify risk signals by leveraging advancements in technology, such as AI and machine learning. As technology advances, so do our capabilities to address age-old problems like corruption. And that’s why ACTS is committed to using technology to help governments stay one step ahead—offering solutions to proactively improve government insights and accelerate transparency.
Iteration is key
“Iteration will be the key to getting tools out there quickly and keeping up with the speed of ongoing threats,” says Norm Hodne, Senior Director of Microsoft ACTS. “We’ll continue to work on solutions that provide a lens of transparency into beneficial ownership and public procurement and enable customers to use their data to create even more effective solutions.”
The field is always changing. Delivering effective anti-corruption solutions relies on our ability to leverage the latest technology for customers to address their unique challenges. That’s why an iterative process is vital—one that not only speeds the development of solutions out into the world, but also starts small with an ability to scale. Iterative processes allow governments to get solutions out fast—which is critical in this day and age.

As technology advances, we continue to learn and discover innovative ways to help governments push back on corruption. AI and machine learning power ACTS’s ability to deliver solutions that enable governments to identify their key risk indicators and determine responsible solutions.
