Keynote: Building a net-zero future together
At Microsoft, we fully believe the world needs to create a net-zero carbon economy by the year 2050. This is a broad problem—a truly planet-sized challenge—that the world needs to attack with a sense of urgency. Last year, Microsoft announced sweeping new sustainability commitments, including becoming carbon negative by the end of the decade. Leading these ambitious company-wide efforts is Dr. Lucas Joppa, Microsoft’s first Chief Environmental Officer. In his keynote, Dr. Joppa will pilot us along the net-zero imperative, Microsoft’s carbon strategy and progress, and the role of technology and AI in reaching a net-zero future.
