Our efforts lead to significant scientific advances, technology that is in the hands of millions of users, and meaningful societal impact.
The MSR India PhD Award aims to recognize outstanding graduate students in areas of interest to our lab. More broadly, this award seeks to foster the pipeline of talent receiving advanced degrees in computing-centric fields, thereby building a strong research community in India. Benefits for this award include a one-time unrestricted grant of ₹10 lakhs, which can be used for augmenting stipends, in addition to covering conference travel, purchasing computing equipment, and other activities promoting academic and professional growth. Where appropriate, the awardee may be assigned a co-mentor from Microsoft Research India and presented opportunities for internships and collaborative projects with our lab.
