Optics for the Cloud PhD Event

This Virtual PhD Event brought together the PhD students funded through the Optics for the Cloud Research Alliance (opens in new tab) and their academic and Microsoft supervisors with Research Alliance members and the wider Optics for the Cloud community. This event replaced the Optics for the Cloud Annual Workshop that had been scheduled for April 2020 and was cancelled due to Covid-19.

Microsoft researchers presented updates on Microsoft optical networking and optical storage projects and PhD students presented and discussed their research with their supervisors and other attendants in two virtual sessions.
