About
I am a Researcher at Microsoft Research (MSR) India and hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Delft University of Technology (TUDelft), Netherlands. I received the Young Engineer Award from the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) in 2022.
My research lies at the intersection of Systems, AI, and Machine Learning, with a focus on designing, deploying, and scaling AI systems to solve real-world challenges at scale. I have developed and scaled impactful solutions that are actively used by several thousands of users across diverse sectors, including education, agriculture, transportation, healthcare, and energy.
My current work focuses on enhancing the quality and reliability of AI systems for everyday applications by addressing critical challenges such as reasoning, grounding, and managing complex queries. This includes three key areas:
- Building Population-Scale Copilots: Developing platforms that empower users to create AI copilots for diverse, real-world scenarios, enabling scalable and personalized assistance in domains such as education, agriculture, and healthcare.
- Advancing Reasoning Capabilities in Foundational Models: Improving the ability of AI systems to handle tasks ranging from mathematical reasoning to complex natural language processing (NLP) queries.
- Enhancing Multimodal Understanding in VLMs: Developing techniques to improve the multimodal capabilities of vision-language models and devising strategies for interpreting and reasoning in multimodal scenarios.
Please visit my projects and publications page for more details.
Internship opportunities (3-6months): I’m always on the lookout for bright students with strong, hands-on experience in AI, ML, and Computer vision. Please email your CV directly if you are interested.
