About
Dr. Angélica Moreira, a Research Software Engineer II at Microsoft Research’s RiSE group in Redmond, attained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), where her work was recognized with prestigious fellowships from Meta Research in 2019-2020 and Microsoft Research in 2021-2022. Additionally, Dr. Moreira holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas).
Dr. Moreira’s research interests lie in the design and implementation of techniques aimed at reducing execution time and energy consumption for programs running on heterogeneous architectures. She is particularly interested in the intersection of machine learning and compilation techniques. Her ultimate aspiration is to contribute to a better world through advancements in science and technology.
