I am a Principal Researcher in Microsoft Semantic Machines, as well as an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University.  My current interests at Microsoft focus on improving the sample efficiency of models for deep NLU, which can include novel algorithms, ideas in crowdsourcing, and approaches to data augmentation through automatic language generation.
